The Flexible Role of a Wedding Consultant
November 28th, 2008 by | Posted in General Comments OffA modern wedding is a major feat of planning and even a relatively simple one can get out of hand and end up costing thousands. You can easily get hooked on the newest trends and try to have it all. Well, if you are going down that route, why go the whole hog and employ a wedding consultant.
It may not seem logical to add another expense to the list, but have you considered that it could save you money in the long run? Her contacts in the businesses that you will need to deal with will allow her to get you better deals than you would be able to. She will be putting lots of business their way and they will pull out the stops to keep her happy.
At the very least, she can give you a checklist to work with so that you can book the services you will need in good time. And a great wedding coordinator will be able to put together a day to remember while sticking to your budget.
If you are teeming with ideas but can’t put them into a plan or you don’t know where to start, your consultant can ride to the rescue. The creative input is nice, but what about all the dull details? When you start to list the things that need to be attended to in putting a wedding together, it can be quite overwhelming.
If your money is no object, your wedding planning service can handle it all for you. She can use her checklist to make sure that everything has been accounted for and your opinion sought, and then you can leave it to her. Nothing will be left to chance and it will all be coordinated tol come together on the big day.
However, the scope of the wedding planning service is flexible, with the level of involvement being reflected in the cost. Obviously handng over all the stress to somebody else would be great, but also the most expensive option. The couple can decide with the consultant what her level of involvement will be.
There may be some elements of the planning where you would like to take a more hands on approach. Maybe you have contacts in the catering industry and can to arrange that for yourself. You may be able to do most of the practical tasks and just use your consultant for creative input, choosing a theme, planning decorations etc.
At the very least, she can help you to prepare a timeline and a checklist that you can work from so that you know when to start the planning and when to book the services you will need. Even this could be an invaluable help making your wedding day a day that you will remember for the right reasons.
